What Is the PM-KISAN Scheme?

Officially launched in February 2019, the PM-KISAN scheme is a major scheme of the Central Government. Its intent is to provide financial support to farmers in order to enhance their financial viability. Farmers qualify for annual assistance of ₹6,000. The money is distributed in three installments of ₹2,000 in a year, with the entire amount being transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries in a seamless manner.

The prime objective of the scheme is to assist farmers in meeting their agriculture-related expenses by purchasing seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and so forth.
